UPMANILA DELEGATION AT THE UPMASA

Headed by no less than UP President Danilo Concepcion, officials from UP Manila and the College of Medicine attended the annual UP Medical Association in America last July 5-8, 2018 at the Hilton in San Francisco, USA. During the breakfast meeting of the UPMASA Board of Directors, UP Manila Chancellor Carmencita Padilla presented the infrastructure projects of UP Manila in the next 3 years while PGH Director Gap Legaspi reported the highlights of the renovation projects at PGH sponsored by UPMASA. The new CM Dean Dr. Charlotte Chiong was lauded for her presentation of the strategic plans of CM in the next three years. Through a video, outgoing Dean Agnes Mejia presented her end-of-term report which received a standing ovation.

During the general assembly meeting, UPMASA gave Dean Agnes a life-time honorary membership to UPMASA, an award never before given to any UPManila official. Dr. Ricky Luna (2018 UPMAS President invited members of UPMASA to 2018 Alumni Homecoming in December 2018in Manila.

Other members of the UPCM delegation included UP Manila Vice Chancellor Arlene Samaniego, Dr. Irma Makalinao (Special Assistant) to Dean Charlotte, Dr. Rody Sy (Head, Resource Generation), Dr. Ricky Luna (2018 UPMAS President), and Dr. Maria Salome N. Vios (outgoing College Secretary)
