Case Capsule: An adult female patient recovers from COVID-19 in a community isolation facility. Upon discharge from the isolation, a rapid test was performed which yielded positive results for IgG. She misinterpreted the test to mean that she was re-infected and would need another 14 days of quarantine. Missing her family and contemplating the prospect of isolation for another two weeks, it was as if her future had gone dark. She could not feel anything. In desperation, she drinks all medicines in her purse, with the intention of ending her life.

Mental health authorities report a dramatic increase in the average daily calls for help related to suicide -- since the start of the pandemic. Pandemic-related anxiety can be overwhelming. Suicide reports due to depression are manifestations of the serious negative mental health effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Spirituality is an important component of the management of COVID-19.
