The Virtual Museum:
A Glimpse of the Storied History of UPCM

ARISTON BAUTISTA LIN, MD

A doctor, philanthropist, and propagandist, Dr. Ariston Bautista Lin graduated as Doctor of Medicine from the University of Santo Tomas and Universidad Central De Madrid. He intensively studied treatment on leprosy, cholera and tuberculosis. He became the president of the Philippine Medical Association from 1908-1909 and also became a professor and the department head of medicine of the UP College of Medicine, known as the College of Medicine and Surgery at the time. Aside from being a doctor, Dr. Lin became a member of Kilusan ng Pagpapalaganap with Jose Rizal, Juan Luna, Gregorio Del Pilar and Graciano Lopez-Jaena.
