Luis E. Guerrero obtained his medical degree from the University of Sto. Tomas. He is known for serving as both a professor in the Department of Pediatrics from his alma mater, as well as Chairman of the Department of Medicine in the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. He was honored in 1948 by President Elpidio Quirino in recognition of his contributions to the practice of Philippine medicine.
